Transformation 2024

In this abstract painting, deep shades of dark blue blend with a sandy yellow hue, interspersed with vibrant red highlights. The composition portrays a journey of transformation, where the interplay of colours symbolises moments of introspection and resilience. My exploration of loss, change, and renewal is vividly captured. Stopping only occurs when harmony within chaos is achieved.

Each brushstroke reveals a narrative of loss, change, and renewal, inviting viewers to reflect on their own paths of growth amidst life’s complexities.

Red Balloon 2024

In this series of three acrylic paintings on canvas, I’m telling a continuous story through abstract landscapes. Each painting adds to the unfolding narrative, using a palette that transitions from cool blue to grey tones. Blending with dynamic brushstrokes to warm brown and green into brighter beige shades to show different emotions in the evolving scenes. Throughout the series, you’ll find a red balloon popping up—a playful and joyful element. Placed intentionally, the balloon brings a sense of fun and nostalgia, reminding us of carefree moments in childhood when we played with these simple yet delightful objects. It’s a way of connecting the playful spirit of our past with the ongoing journey of life outlined in the series.

Overall, the series invites viewers to explore a connected and evolving story, with the balloon symbolising the joy we carry from our childhood into our adult lives.

Resilient Strokes of Life 2023

In this captivating artwork, I present an abstract portrayal of a woman’s face emerging from a vibrant blend of colours and bold brushstrokes. The focal point of the artwork is the woman’s expression, which reflects a sense of complexity and depth, inviting viewers to look upon the challenges she has overcome in her life.

The canvas releases a sense of fluidity, capturing the ever-changing nature of existence. Chaotic flows of colours symbolise the contrasting experiences of turbulence and tranquilly that life brings. The woman’s gaze holds a sense of wisdom, hinting at the inner strength she has gained from facing adversity. Her expressions allows for multiple interpretations, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own struggles and growth. The fluid lines and intermingling colours emphasise that life’s obstacles do not conceal our beauty but rather emphasise and enrich it. The fusion of chaos and harmony within the artwork mirrors the intertwined nature of challenges and personal growth in the layers of life.

This art piece is both fluid and dynamic and expresses an invitation to find significance in the challenges we encounter, celebrating the strength we gain as we overcome them. Through each brushstroke, I share the woman’s journey—a testament to her resilience, grace, and ability to shine amidst turmoil.

Choosing the Right Directions 2023

In “Choosing the Right Directions,” my painting captures the essence of a woman confidently navigating life’s crossroads. Masai 2021

This art piece is my first experiment of painting a single abstract figure. I applied the paint passionately with different palettes of knives, and when the body reached it’s fullness, it brought me back to my trip to Tanzania in 2010, where I  was impressed at the powerful appearance of the Masai’s, walking up and down the beach in their traditional, colourful shuka clothing and holding wood sticks. I have always been curious about different cultures and traditions and enjoyed travelling around the world. Growing, learning and experiencing the freedom to exceed the comfort zone and boundaries. Like in this work, I exceeded the power of my intentions of creativity and let go of the need to paint a perfect figure. I’m certain that the owner of this work will find joy in this powerful painting.

This art piece is made with acrylic. All layers applied with water drop techniques, flat brushes, palette knivesand sponge to reach the thickness of structures and colours.

Morning Mood 2021

This art piece is my intuitive expression of an early morning landscape scene in November back in Switzerland, which I haven’t experienced since living in Dubai. My creative act on this piece is taken in total abstraction, and the freely flowing flow of colour leaves room for interpretation by it’s viewers. In my eyes, this piece is a symphony of romance and peace.

This art piece is made with acrylic and oil pastels applied with flat brushes, palette knives, and different tools to create the structured surface.

Bull Fight 2021

The powerful colours, which reach harmony, was created with great passion. While layer the paint on the canvas, I usually step back several times to see how the colours effect the painting and how each stroke changes the dynamic and motion of the whole canvas and the single elements. But while I worked on this piece, I completely lost time and enjoyed the process, I added more layer and mixed more paint, giving it stork after stork. And when I finally stepped back and looked at it,. It was just perfect. The layers of green, orange and blue are melting in themselves, and the small elements is completing the final touch. With this piece, I felt like I was in a bull fight, when you only see the aftermath once the fight is over.

This art piece is made with acrylic and visible water drop techniques applied with flat brushes, knife and different tools to reach the structures, which shows beautiful effects on this painting.

Autumn Season 2021

Our lives are wild, layered, deep, and sometimes even complicated, but colourful. I do enjoy the colour choice of this painting very much. Experimenting by adding layers, structures, and shapes and only a light washout in order not to cover the elements. The small figure is moving and encountering life as it comes within his changes and challenges, and we cope with it. The same way as nature does. For me, autumn is such a beautiful time. I loved spending time out in nature. Observing when nature changes its colours and loses its leaves before diving into a long winter sleep. It seems so simple—just letting go, not fearing the loss. It’s magic to me, and while painting, I stepped back, took a moment, observed the colours, called back those memories, and dove into a beautiful memory of the autumn season back home.

This art piece is made with acrylic, with visible layers of water drop techniques, oil pastel, and charcoal chalk to outline lines and shades. Acrylic is applied with flat brushes, knives, sponges, and different tools to achieve the different fine structures.

Field of Gold 2019

As we move through our journey we encounter darkness, pain, and wounding, and then, as time goes by we heal and some of the darkness gets scraped away. In happy moments, bright colours are added on top of the dark and cycle continues. The beauty of this layering process is not only in the colour but also in the contrast between the light and dark. The painting isn’t smooth; it’s structured, layered, blended, and scratched, just as our lives are too. However, I think we need to look out for every opportunity and sometimes it’s just in front of us, For me, enjoying the process of painting and sharing it with the world.

This art piece is made with acrylic and charcoal chalk,  with water drop techniques applied with flat brushes, knife and sponge.

Her Story 2022

Each of us has our own story to tell and a backpack to carry. And as a matter of fact, it has not always had a happy ending. In this painting, I reflect all those individual stories that have reached me during my journey. Dramas, joy, and pain, but somehow seeking harmony and satisfaction. Our lives are layered with experience and memories, like in my painting, where each brush stroke is visible in colourful flow and harmony.

The acrylic paint is applied with flat, big brushes, and the different visible layers are reached with water drop techniques and different thicknesses of paint to achieve the different structures.

Sehnsucht 2022

Living in a desert climate, you rarely experience the beauty of a rainy day—the smell, the sound and the fresh air. Not only an exciting change of the canary, but also a nice excuse to call in a lazy day in at the cosy home. This painting brings up in me those feelings of aiming for a rainy day, especially those that reached me during the hot summer while working on each brush that struck and clearly appeared in my colour choice, which I washed over the dusty air you experience in the middle east region. Emotions between two locations, which both of them I call home.

The acrylic paint is applied with flat big brushes and the different visible layers are reached with water drop techniques. The abstract figure is shaped and outlined with knifes scratches. When you look closer, you recognise the small hidden figures at the right. Those are applied only with pallet of knives to reach the thickness of the paint and structures of the figures themselves.

The Dance 2021

Doesn’t everyone desire to let go fear and freely dance with the wind. I do and as a small girl, I dreamed about being grown up and do what ever I loved to do. But as a grown up, the words “follow your dreams” moves far away and and seems more a metaphor or even a fairy tale. My creativity and passion give me not only joy but also throw me back to my childhood and I’m glad I had the strength to follow my dreams and dance today with colour on canvas to bring harmony and joy to peoples lives and living rooms.

This art piece is made with acrylic; the abstract figures are shaped with collage elements of paper and marked / outlined with charcoal chalk and oil pastel. Water drop techniques with a nice wash in order to visible the under-neat neath colours. I worked with flat brushes, knives, and sponges.

Happiness 2022

It is universally pleasurable to forget about normal concerns. Any welcome distraction from our routine makes us feel good. An abstract work offers a chance to make something outside of ourselves temporarily more important than whatever we were previously thinking about. Some people may look at it and relate to it, either because of its lack of easy explanation or because they’re losing their focus on the chaotic harmony. And if you have heard someone say that abstract art drives them out of their mind,. They may have literally been telling the truth. And losing mind, in my opinion and definition, is purely “happiness and joy.”.

This art piece is made with acrylic; the abstract figures are shaped, washed out with alcohol to reach the underneath colours and structures, and outlined with oil crayons and chalk. Water drop techniques used and paint applied with flat brushes, knife and fingers.

Silence 2023

In creating this painting titled “Silence,” I embraced a deliberate and unhurried approach. I took the time to apply the paint, misting it with water and allowing it to move freely. I observed the layers emerging and fading day after day, repeating the process. As we uncover these layers, we reveal the essence of our true selves. It’s a beautiful and fascinating process that I find deeply captivating.  That’s why I call this art work “Silence”. Taking time and enjoying the process of life.

Wellbeing 2022

While working on this painting, I allowed myself to take time. Applying the paint, spraying water and just let it flow. Observing how the layers appear or disappear. Layers after layers. Day after day, apply again and let it flow. Each new season of our lives brings a fresh coat of paint, colouring us a certain shade for that moment. As we peel back the layers, we start to see all the things that make us who we really are. It’s a beautiful process and one that I’m totally fascinated with. That’s why I call this art work “Wellbeing”. Taking time and enjoying the process of life.
